oh my god my high school roleplay is still live
it's both hilarious and mortifying at the same time
ohey I disappeared again

So... it's been a pretty hectic year so far... I got into my first serious relationship (which abruptly ended recently... but basically men are stupid anyway), lost my job (place finally closed down), got a new and greater job, and uni is slowly killing me. Plus I have two volunteering things comic up

 - Oz Comic Con Sydney and an art gallery exhibition. So yeah. Life is fun.

Anyways, seeing as I'm mostly on here for uni for this very moment (save meeee) I was thinking I should bring up a thing I posted on the forums the other day - my final project for uni. It was originally going to be an anti manga/comics piracy thing, but it turns out what I was going to do was pretty much just comiXology with a touch of weeb (took me a whole semester to realise that...) so now I'm focusing more on art theft. I know it's a big problem, especially on the internet (yeah I hope you assumed dA art theft not people sneaking into the louvre) and that was my intention with the first iteration, so yeah. its called Draw the Line (see what i did there?) but yeah.

I made a survey and if anyone has the time could you please give it a squiz and fill it in? It should only take 5-10 mins at the absolute most unless you have a huge story to tell... IF NOT then please please SHARE it!!!!

1. What is your name/account etc? (so I can find/contact you)
2. What sort of art do you create? What is your following like? Please give me an introduction to your practice, in as much detail as you like.
3. Do you follow/know any artists/are you an artist who has had their work/IP stolen?
4. How did it effect you/them? Did you/they lose money, the right to their work?
5. If the previous 2 questions apply, what work was it, and how was it stolen? Was it re-used, reproduced, traced? Please link to the original and stolen if possible.
6. Do you have anything you want potential thieves to know about how this effects you and the industry, and what you want to change?
6. Any other comments?

Thanks for reading guys! I'll try to spend a bit more time here over the midsem (week after next) and try and pop by inbetween then.

Hi all,

I'm currently working on my final project as part of my design degree, and was wondering if I could get some artist input?

I'm creating a social awareness campaign called "Draw the Line" - it aims to reduce the occurence of art/IP theft by emotively demonstrating the effects this has on artists - taking away their livelihood etc.

I'm just thinking, as I need to make this pretty deep (as well as effective) I should get cracking in terms of finding some opinions from real artists - if you can answer one, some, any of these following questions, it would be so much help to my campaign.

I'm not sure how I will use the responses - depending on how many I get and how I can use them, I will obviously make sure to get in touch with you in terms of using them for research/campaign quotes etc.

I have made a survey so you don't have to put your responses here for all to see/remain anonymous, but if you would like me to credit your responses/check in with you etc or want to provide more, such as potentially doing a video feature or something like that, please please please give me a way to contact you because that would be so much help and I would really like to make this campaign real so it can actually do something good rather than jazz up my portfolio. If you like, you can answer the questions on here, or note me if you like. It's up to you.

And finally, if you don't know how to answer these questions/have already answered them/know someone who can, please share the link!

Thank you so much!!!
ok i'm going to start unstoring some of my stuff
and most of it is going in the scraps

Hey everyone, welcome to my (currently barren) page!

I am from Australia and am currently studying Visual Communication, and have recently completed my 3rd year. I love Japanese animation and culture just as much as I love my English heritage and culture. :)

Many of my loves include Sym-Bionic Titan, Sailor Moon, Red Dwarf and most recently Throne of Glass.

Deviations will be back up eventually so keep your eyes peeled. If you want. :P
